Textbook Software
The Ni Hao Language Lab Textbook Editions only support screen resolutions of 1024x768 pixels and above. If the pictures and words seem to far to the right and cut off then the screen resolution is too small. Please consult your computers documentation for more information on changing screen resolution.
To record your voice you must have a microphone and it must be selected as your input device. Please consult your computers documentation on using a microphone. A good quality headphone/microphone combination headset should be considered.
Microsoft Windows users may need to purchase and install a better quality audio card if the volume of your recorded voice seems low and/or distorted. A USB audio input device should also be considered.
Macintosh Build 070525: If you plan to use an external headphone/mic combo please test it before purchase as some are not compatible.
Ni Hao Games
Windows versions before Build 040811: These versions of the Games software only support 'High Color' not 'True Color'. In the Expressions Game the four choices appear as black bars. Please consult your computers documentation on how to change screen colors to a lower value.
Ni Hao Games Build 040811 is the first version to have six games, build 050229 is the current version which gives the option to print a list of results.
